FILLE DE PAYSAN

Joel and Murielle, their two daughters, 15-year-old Emilie and her little sister Lola, form a close-knit farming family, despite the mounting debts they have to save their farm. Until one day, when they try to help out a neighbour, they receive a hefty fine for ‘illegally’ selling a chicken for €10… This news puts the family under even more pressure. As a last resort to get the fine lifted, they started poultry farming in earnest, taking out a new bank loan. But new European regulations put an end to their hopes and once again put them in extreme difficulty. With her father’s life hanging in the balance and the future of the farm in serious jeopardy, Emilie decided to publicise her story, rallying as many people as possible to her parents’ cause. Will Emilie, a farmer’s daughter, succeed in saving her family ?
